Increased focus on hygiene increases demands for standardizing
Increased focus on hygiene has strengthened the cooperation between NGI and SPX FLOW.
NGI Hygienic Levelling Systems is the world’s leading manufacturer of adjustable stainless steel levelling feet. We are especially known for our efficient, hygienic solutions to machines and equipment within the food industry. In close cooperation with NGI, SPX FLOW has developed a standardizing platform for all companies in the group - as a consequence of the customers’ increased focus on hygiene. The SPX FLOW standardizing platform contains among other things the well-known 3-A EHEDG and USDA certified machine feet. The standardization platform allows for SPX FLOW to order hygienic machine feet directly from NGI but it also allows for the SPX FLOW subsuppliers and divisions worldwide to order their machine feet from NGI directly.
Involvement in customers’ development processes can function as a lever for new solutions.
NGI is used to working with huge customers within the food industry and therefore we are aware of our customers’ increased focus on hygiene and food safety. Consequently, NGI shows deep involvement in our customers’ development process, especially in the financial and production aspects of optimizing hygiene.
Cooperation across production units and borders.
The standardization cooperation between NGI and SPX FLOW originally started with the SPX FLOW production of units in Denmark, Poland and France. In the beginning, we concentrated our effort especially about the following products; membrane skids and pumps, where NGI’s 3-A EHEDG and USDA certified machine feet are currently used. The engineering divisions in both Denmark and Poland confirm that the implementation of the NGI certified machine feet have been carried out without any negative impact on ressouces, price or delivery time.
