Without casters to move trollies, tables and machinery around the production facility the world would be full of hassle and harder work – but free of one of the main sources of cross-contamination. Casters are an essential part of the production line, but unfortunately, they’re difficult to clean properly. Up until now, that is.

Stainless steel is a natural choice when it comes to hygienic design and we’ve combined it with a one-sided fork housing that provides easy access for cleaning combined with smooth and drainable surfaces that are either round or have a 3° angle. One of the weak points with current caster solutions is the brake, however with the new hygienic caster from NGI, the brake is integrated into the fork housing and locking of rotation and pivoting occurs inside the caster.
